Q: How long does it take to produce a Yearbook?

A: That depends on several factors (including how quickly you get your proofs back to us), but it could be anything from 3 weeks to 3 months.

Q: What happens if we're late with our copy?

A: If your copy is very late, it can affect your delivery date, although we do try to work miracles and will always do our best to keep you on schedule.

Q: How do you want us to supply all the text?

A: All text should be supplied as MS Wordpad files, one document per page, then saved on to either the supplied USB Memory Stick or a CD/DVD. Our production guide and How To Video provide full details on this.

Q: Do we have to use your fonts and colour resources or can we supply our own?

A: You should use the fonts that we supply, but you are welcome to include your own colour backgrounds etc (JPEG file format please).

Q: Do we have to use the supplied page layout templates for MS Publisher, Adobe InDesign etc?

A: If you are preparing the pages yourself in Publisher or InDesign etc then you should at least start with the blank page templates supplied by us for your chosen application. You may also use our prepared page layout templates if you like or you can create your own if you prefer.

Q: I've had my proof for the first section, but I want to change some photos and text, can I still do this?

A: Of course you can, we do advise however that major changes near the end of the yearbook process may affect your deadline.

Q: I've collected all our deposits, do you want all the cheques I've got or just one from the school?

A: Just one cheque from the school please.

Q: Do I need to keep a back up copy of our content?

A: Yes, please back up everything you send us, either to disc or on a hard drive at school.

Q: How much does a Yearbook cost?

Q: Can I see a sample Hardy's Yearbook?

A: Of course! We are happy to send you a genuine Yearbook produced this year, free of charge. From this you will be able to see the high quality in scanning, printing and finishing that we can offer, please apply via the on-line form or give us a call at the office.

Q: How much help do we get from Hardy's?

A: The first thing that will happen when you make an enquiry is that one of our Sales Managers will contact you to discuss your requirements. If you are happy to go straight ahead then a full production pack will be sent to you via post. If you have the meeting with our representative, then you will receive friendly informed guidance on how to go about producing your Yearbook. You will also receive all the specialist materials, including our full colour production guide and a video presentation of how to organise your yearbook along with a FREE 2GB USB memory stick containing all our page layout templates, colour resources and other useful information to help you get organised. After that, you work along with your fellow team members to get all your Yearbook material together, ready to be sent in to us. We are available via phone or email should you have any questions or problems. We have found that 99% of all issues can be resolved simply by giving us a quick call or email.

Q: Do you return our photos?

A: Yes, we will send all your copy back to you, free of charge, once the book has been completed and the final bill has been paid.

Q: What do we do if we have to cancel the project?

A: Please contact us as soon as possible. If in exceptional circumstances you need to cancel your order, then depending on the reason and the amount of work already undertaken by us, you may receive a refund of your deposit where paid.
